want a challenge how about an old cvcc motor

so my buddy just picked up an 81 honda yeah i know old and very very out dated and it has the cvcc raceing motor in it. still garbage but better than nothing. does anybody know how to get info on this motor or can help with why it is idleing high and really slugish when he pushes down on the gas

IIRC Jackson Racing I think was racing with the old CVCC.

Jackson Racing Don't know if they still have those old stuff though(they were racing it in the 80s).

Jackson Racing used to swap the CVCC motors for the 1.5L engines and also the 1.8L Accord engines of that era. The CVCC's are useless for performance, but they did get awesome mileage for a carb'd engine. I'd look into swapping a different motor if you want performance.
