wastegate dump

i was thinking about buying a ebay wastegate dump. most of them arent at the correct angle to dump the exhaust, what could i use to bend it to the proper shape? i wanna do it my self and not bring it to the muffler shop. what works good as a pipe bender? its a 38mm wastegate? and if nothing can bend it, i can always get the proper size piping and get my friend to weld one up. what size piping fits into the 38mm flange?
