what is the hole on the top of an external tial wastegate for? someone said it was for the wastegate adjustment, but i don't know. and there is nothing in its place. i know this is a stupid question, but i am just learning about turbos. thank you.

I believe its for a boost controller (push/pull type!?) to bleed pressure into the top to keep wastegate closed a little longer! But dont quote me on this but I was told that! I think its for the cheaper type boost controllers! but I say just change the spring if you want to boost more!

It is used for an electronic boost controller. If you just have a manual boost controller, just let this port vent to atmosphere.
