You're getting yourself in WAY over your head. You're buying an eBay kit, which will most likely require extensive fabrication to get everything to fit correctly, and in the end its going to result in mediocre (at best) gains. Do it right the first time and buy a decent kit. If you don't have the money, save.

Pretty much the only thing that is unique to your car in that auction is specifically the intake fitment that will eventually get fabbed, and the exhaust manifold that mounts to the turbo. At that, 900 is stupid cheap for a "complete" kit, and you'll be opening yourself a can of bee's.

The biggest thing that can be stressed about doing a turbo install is the tuning involved, and how you're going to get fuel. There are a lot of good articles floating around, and you reallllly should do some research.

That, and the downpipe fitment. eBay kits do a terrible job of making things fit with radiators and such. Hell, the wastegate flange on my eBay manifold is in such a position that you cannot even get a wastegate on there without touching the radiator, even if it were stock.

Lesson to be learned here is that eBay kits are not worth it. You could pick up a decent used kit for that price.

well since the spam bot brought back my old thread i guess i will up date. ebay is fucking garbage!!!! lol i guess they told me so...... yep wont be doing that again. now here is my ebay opinion. its not that the quality of ebay stuff sucks. even though some of it is kind shit some stuff was ok in my kit. its the fucking fab work to get everything to fit. but i got everything to work. took a while but its all hooked up. will post pics of the build later. my prelude is now in the shop. getting mahle h22 -7cc pistons and eagle h-beam rodds installed now. goal is 450hp. should be able to reach it at 20psi. with a good tune ofcourse. but back to the turbo thing. it was either a little nore money or about the same after everything was said and done to hook up the ebay kit. i could ahve, should have and will from now on just put a kit together. it cheaper fits better and so much less headache!!!! but thats how it went. will post some pics of this build soon.

Glad you learned your lesson. Hopefully that kit holds up. You're not using an eBay wastegate are you?

Yeah I'd ditch the eGay wastegate. Snag a used TiAL for cheap.

Boost controller won't do you any good with a shitty wastegate.
