Ok, not dumpster diving, but, me and my son were out walking around taking pictures, I am teaching him photography. We went down an alley because it looked like there were some interesting things to shoot. About halfway down something catch's my eye, a tripod. I walk over to it and pick it up off the pile of discarded household items, and realize there's nothing wrong with it, at all. I look back at the pile and see some Playboys, some Harley memorabilia, and, hmmmm ....a pretty nice looking printer. So I yelled out "Hello?!?!", after a couple times this lady comes out, and I asked her if this stuff was all discarded, and she says "Take whatever you want." So I grabbed hte tripod, the spank mags, and tehn she ask Patrick if he likes sports, he said "Sure", she walked intot he garage and came out with a baseball and glove and gives it to him. She tells me to come back with my car and grab whatever, andthat they were still cleaning out their garage and there was more stuff coming. I go home, get the car and come back, and load up the printer, a Garmin StreetPilot c330, some big ass picture frames, a set of golf clubs, electronic picture frame, and just a ton of random shit. Turns out that the printer, a $600 HP Deskjet 8500 all in one, had run out of ink, and instead of buying new cart's his company just sent him a new printer lol.

That's because if that has the same 4 cartridges the larger model has, it costa about $300 to purchase the HE branded cartridges.

I went to refills until my fiance moved in with the updated model that her company pays for replacement cartridges on.

    Good picks.

Nice find, I never find anything good like that. The only thing I got from the side of the road was an old desk, built well just needed to be refinished.

So in an ironic twist of fuck you John, this morning my Nikon D5100 fell of the tripod, right on to the lens, pretty much a total loss. All I gotta say is, if there is a god, Fuck him in the ass.

Nope, I used it all day yesterday with the head in just about every orientation possible, not a hint of an issue. It was some freak accident because I after I locked it on I made sure it was locked down since I was walking a little bit with the tripod.

I'm putting everything from that dive on Craigslist, printer, GPS, Dirt Devil, golf clubs, probably the tripod, if I don't take a hammer to it and destroy it.
