I'm going to ask once again, for everyone to clean out unnecessary pics frmo your gallery.
"owned" pics, and the like are not allowed.

i understand that its cool to put it up and post it- and i don't have a problem with that. but after a couple days, its old. so get rid of it.

if your pics are 2000x2000, thats simply a waste of space.
there is ZERO good reason to have a photo larger than 640x480 on this website.

This is not porn.

if its not solved on your own side, i will be removing images at will- starting with the largest file size pics, and working my way down.

over 85% of our site size is in the gallery. 10% is in the mysql database for the forum posts
less than 5% is in site files

if you have hs.com email, and use webmail - not pop/outlook, please clean out your mail box or dl it to a pop so it removes it from the server.
hs.net email is not effected.

simply put- advertising money is down- hard. and i can't afford to buy more space without paying out of pocket again for this site.

so, the gallery is the bitch in this relationship.
 
that sucks.

there are plenty of free image hosting places out there. they should take advantage of that.

i bought a gob of webspace so i dont have to worry about using up everyone elses... i have ~150mb of pics n vids just on my domain. :lol:

We have that in text files for post text. :lol:

Hs is at 1300 MB right now of FILE space, and about 400MB in the mysql DB

I understand the need/want for fun shit.

here's what I'm thinking-

Make 1 public album for said pictures.
that way, there's no 123123 doubles of the same shit, and we can all keep our galleries clean with pics of our cars and such

i could take away some of the disk usage onto my site.

No shit. We should have a "Chop of B" monthly thing on the front cover! The prize is having access to the moderator board that doesn't exist for the month you won. :)
