found some price on how much it would cost to import and legalize a skyline to US:
R32 Skyline GTR 1990-1994 : $12,500USD
R33 Skyline GTR 1995 : $15,500USD
R33 Skyline GTR 1996-1998 : $21,500USD
R34 Skyline GTR 1999-2003 : $21,500USD
-from Fuel Imports, LLC

thats bullshit.

motorex is the ONLY place who can legally do it.... and they charge about 20k jsut to US spec it. importing is at least 4 grand... and then theres the duties which are like 55% of the value...

man.. why doesn't anyone listen to me

if you want to drive a skyline on US roads in the US LEGALLY, the ONLY WAY is THROUGH MOTOREX, INC., or its re-seller company, RBMotoring

NO ONE ELSE HAS THE POWER OF THE US GOVERNMENT TO MAKE A SKYLINE LEGAL. THAT IS ALL.

FUEL IMPORTS IS NOT MOTOREX.

Anyone can import them, and convert them, it's just going to cost an arm and a leg.

can they spec other cars? such as a jdm honda, peugeot, or something?

man, fuck motorex, this beaches charge too much,

I don't know if it is even worth it, 100g's for a Skyline,

the car is sweet, but 100g's

aren't the new Infinity's the one which looks like a 350z car new skylines,

I know they aren't boosted and stuff, but they are cheaper.....

and the G35 coupes are also slightly slower than a 350z. Get a Sentra Spec V...it has Skyline inspired seats. :p

100g's for a skyline is alot; considering they cost around half that price for a brand new nur spec skyline in japan.

again... its more than that..

it costs say 15-20k USD to buy an r34 in jdm land...
costs 10k to get it here
15-20k in taxes at the port
20k to us spec it
and you're already at 60grand for MOTOREx's cost...

they put up the cash to get the monopoly for crash testing.... they desrve to make it back... much like an R&D expense...

and then, there's profit- somethign no company will be around without.

Why not imported trough canada? Much much much easier...!!!

Yeah, but since it's Canada Legal, it's much easier to make it US legal.
My girl got a US CRX and put it Canada Legal with just a simple inspection, i can't see why i would be harder on your side....

since it's canada legal, they probably wont bother that much.

Why whould you want to deal with the maintainance costs. It is like 8000 dollars for a break job. And that bitch dont use 5w30 oil either...

What kind of oil does it use ?

Break job= replacing your breaking components. i was watching a mischeif movie and this guy was like atter this is over i need to spend 8000 to get new breaks. maybe because you have to import all the parts...
