Werid Rev Limit Thingy?

well, I was having a problem with my distributor ..but after opening it and twisitng the wires around, my car started workign again. Get this .. every component in the distributor is functioning perfectly (well, according to the resistances) .. and my car is working again, but something weird has happened.


now my car doesn't rev as high. it's limited at a lower rpm reading. since I don't have a tach in my cx .. i can only give u speeds in gears.

in 1st, I can go to ~20. In 2nd I cna go to ~40 ..

do any of you know what the problem might be?

maybe timing/ecu? if its timing put your motor back to stock and reset the ecu.. if its not the timing, reset the ecu.. this is what happened to my friends dsm too.. even worst his turbo wouldnt even spool at WOT! sold that bastard and got a 93 eg hatch

yep, i need to reset my ecu ... it's still got some error codes being read (and i've not yet reset it).

i'll do that tomororw morning, and see if things work magically again.
