Finding a decent 92-95 Civic is like pulling teeth, so I'm thinking about buying a CRX. Will a '90 model take a D16Y8 block okay as far as mounts and transmission? I know I'll have to redo the wiring harness and ECU.

good question. I too would like to kno wthe answer here. How would you get the hydro tranny to work in a cable tranny car? Also, what would be the difference in mounting points from the hydro/cable???

i was wondering this as well but somehow got the impression that you cant put a cable tranny on the y8. some one please come to the rescue

lol

it is a d series....

you need the correct flywheel, clutch and tranny combo (any 88-91 d series combo) and you're golden.

im sure you understand the issue of the difference between like 88, 89 and then 90-91 clutches/inputs shafts/flywheel sizes...

so just take whatever combo, bolt it up and throw it in :)

so what u're saying is...take teh flywheel, clutch and trany from a 91 Si and it will botl up perfectly to the Y8?
