what do you use to hone your block?

    just like the title says, what do most of you " do-it-yourselfers " use to hone your cylinder walls for new rings? :thumbsup:

    a Hone what else, there are two types. steel ball and pad i perfer the ball type hone less room for error

    A machine shop. If you try to do it yourself, I promise you that you will destroy your cylinders.

    And no matter what, stay away from ballhones. ballhones are the bane of the automotive industry.

    whats a ball hone? those flex hones with the little balls on the end they sell for like a bill at sears and on the net?

    Yes. They're garbage.


    Just take your block to a machine shop.
