What are you power goals? What are your overall goals for the car? Street car? Auto-cross? Drag? And how much money do you have to spend?

    Expound on that.

Do you mean you want an engine that's easy to install? Like less modifications involved to install it?

Or do you mean that you want an engine that's fairly powerful from the factory, so you won't have to add a lot of other parts to make it fast?

A B-series would be a fairly easy install and will give you a nice horsepower boost. An H-series is a more difficult and expensive install, but it will give you a lot more power and torque. Look up the specs on some of these motors in the reference section to learn more about them.

Yeah I thought about suggesting a K, but if he's looking for something easy to install and not horribly expensive, that's probably not it.

I would look into a GSR m8, they seem easy to install and reasonably cheap... ;)

Definantley the poor mans Type R. Get a B18C1. It's relatively cheap compared to a K series motor, and now that the Kmotor is the knew thing Bseries parts are cheaper and easier to come by. You won't be dissapointed with a GSR swap.

well I would agree with the b-series motor but for the price of a swap why not just build your motor?

The HX Civic has the VTEC-E motor. It's not exactly known for being a power house engine...he'd probably do better with a swap...
