I have a 96 accord efi 4 cyl. 5 speed. What year and model engine will fit? I can swap intake and things like that if have to be. Very new to honda ,like this is my first one, so I know nothing and honda is no help! Please can you tell me what fits and any ajustments that have to be made. Thank you.
 
H22, H23, and any F-series engine besides the S2000 motors are completely bolt-in. K-series engines can be done with mount kits. Anything else, don't bother, it's not worth it in an Accord...
 
ok i have some numbers off the car. the number on the engine itself is:A20A4

ITS A HONDA ACCORD EX-I (TYPE:ca5)
engine family id: c87e
displacement: 1955cm3 (119 cid)
pgm-fi 12 valve
year 1983-84
number on the trany is: a2q5
: 2003697
thats all the info i could find. does this change any of the engines i can use?
 
no, they already told you the engines you can swap in. technically, you could put a chvy 502 in it if you wanted and had the money. stick with the f or h series swap.
