im not sure of what your using for fuel/engine management, but if your only running stock on stock than i suggest atleast using a missing link on the map sensor so your ecu doesnt read boost. get a 12:1 FMU and run low boost, around 8psi. OR do it the right way and do 440's and a crome tune on an obd1 ecu.
 
also, just below your throttle body, you should have a FITV. (fast idle thermal valve). It should have two coolant lines, one in, and one out.
