What kind of numbers do you think a sir I with i/h/e and a moderate turbo kit boosting 8-10psi would make?

I'm torn between whether its cheaper for me to just spring for a GSR hatch and not worry about turbo'ing the car, or to buy a hatch w/ a sir I and boost it.

I can get a '95 Si w/ all the normal goodies; power everything, CC, sunroof, gsr rims, coilovers, i/h/e for 4500 and then buy a $1500 turbo kit. Total = 6k

for $4800 and not mod the car any further. Total $4800
It just scares me because the guy seems fairly sketchy, but assuringly he was more than willing to offer the VIN to me. Anyone have carfax...pm me.

It just sucks not having power windows/locks/sunroof/ A/C. I would get power windows put in the vx but there would still be no a/c or sunroof which is the only thing that really matters to me.

Which will make more power - I'm guessing even at 8psi that the sir I will make a good amount more power then the gsr. Your opinion?

all depends on what you want this car for. Both are good. I like how the vx sounds with the gsr. I would leave it the way it is too. I took all the power options out of mine and im getting ready to pull the sunroof out. Its all about what you want the car for.

Well its going to be my daily driver. The no A/C blows because when its shitty weather out and the windows fog up, the A/C sucks all the moisture out of the air and defrosts the windows quite nicely, without it sometimes you cant see for shit. I dont mind not having power door locks...they'd be nice but not a neccesity. Power windows are nice, but I would just buy panels from a civic with power windows and the motor and install them myself, and I'd make my uncle do all the wiring at his shop :p . I probably would like a sunroof too because I'm used to having the targa in the del sol, but I can always leave the windows down and the back hatch open.

I just want to be able to take the car through the twistys and have some fun, but also beat up on some pricks on the highway. Beat pretty much all other 4 bangers that think they're hot shit on the highway, and pick on some mustangs...if i could beat a gt that would be nice. ...but then I get to thinking oh it would be nice to have cruise control, power everything, a sunroof and with a turbo kit the sir I will probably piss on the gsr even @ 8 psi and it would only be $500 more for all those options.

oh yeah...i still havent sold my car yet, insurance said that the check would be here like last thurs and that never happened. If I dont get the '95 Si and you want my car for $800 in a week or two...by all means :D

myself, because of what i like, i'd get the GSR and boost it. lol. but just like allbottledup said, its about what you want.

Well of course... I think anyone with unlimited money would do that. The problem for me is budget. I'd love to turbo the gsr engine too but I'm not going to have that kind of money for awhile.

I added some more to the thread and some pics.

I found out I can get the '93 Vx for $4800, i'm just freaked out that the car is going to have something terribley wrong with it and I'm going to get fucked.

My uncle who runs a car customizing shop looked at the pics and such and liked the '95 Si far better because of cleaner lines and such, and pointed out how the seams are the VX don't look too great in the pics. What do you guys think?

just so your aware, I/H are useless in a turbo setup.

I knew about the intake, but why couldnt I use a standard header for a turbo application?

How do you plan on bolting a turbo on where there's no turbo flange?
