i am swapping out my ls motor and putting a gsr in. i found this piece and dont know what the hell it is or where it goes. it has 3 bolt holes. 2 are facing left and right and 1 is facing up and down.

also. the gsr block has a hole to the right of where the oil filter goes and on my ls it is just plugged. anyone have an idea what goes in there? the pic is sideways.

the top one is a lower engine stiffener or something close to that- it bolts the trans to the lower part of the block- I'm honestly not sure if LS motors have them, but I know that GSR's do

Its the bracket that bolts to the bottom of the engine and to the side of hte tranny, there should be 2 of them 1 slightly longer than the other. You need to reinstall these.

As for the hole, I dont know... probably something for Oil...

the last pic shows an open hole. that is where the breather chamber- oil /air seperator canister fits in there on ITR Block it is rectangle, large hole at bottom with o-ring and two small holes at top

i've got one laying around, it's not in the prettiest condition, but nothing a little degreaser and black paint won't take care of. pm or email me if you want it.

The extra hold is for a knock sensor. It is hard to tell in the pic but the GSR has one and the LS does not.

Yea, I second the KS statement. The oil filter is just above it... why would hte breather chamber go below the oil filter?

edit: What the fuck is your deal? Why the fuck would I not be able to fucking figure it out? The knock sensor is ABOVE the oil filter...or, in the case of his picture (which is sideways), the knock sensor would be to the RIGHT of the oil filter because his pic is SIDEWAYS...

WHICH IS WHY I FUCKING SAID THAT THE GODDAMN HOLE IS NOT FOR THE MOTHERFUCKING KNOCK SENSOR.

SO GET THE FUCK OFF MY ASS
