b18a doesnt have a knock sensor. looks like a spot for the second bolt holding the alternator bracket on...
 
do you mean the green sensor? - it is oil temp sensor - not really needed

but yea the green one. i keep having people tell me is a KS and other people telling me its everything else! :(

the green plug is a Engine Coolant Temp Switch (for rad fan)
the big black plug is a Engine Oil Temp Switch (also for rad fan, but not needed)
the small 1-wire plug is the Engine Oil Pressure Switch (for gauge oil light)

you've got it backwards. the 2 prong black plug is coolant temp for the radiator fan, it is needed. the green plug reads oil temp to activate the radiator fan, but is not needed.
 
Thanks, I was going by the position in the helms diagram, but looking at the pic closely it does list the ECT sensor as the larger one.
