I got a 1992 hatch and i have decided to get the velox VX-8r's. Now i don't know what size tire to get. I am planning on lowering it 1- 1.5" with the mild eibach spring kit(can't remember exactly how low it is). I have been told to get 195/55 's but the tires already come with 205/40's. I am just lost on what is the proper tire size to use with this rim. Also you are welcome to through out ideas for what tires to get also. Thanx in advance.

    195/55's are a horrible choice for a 16" wheel on a civic.

205/45 or 215/45 would be the better choice.

If you want a great summer tire at a reasonable price, look no further than the falken azenis sport, 215/45/16

i would not get the azenis in a 215 size on a civic with a 1.5" drop. they are gonna rub like holy hell. get the 205, they are still almost as wide as a 215. the 215's are gonna be more like a 225.
