hello once again.... I am looking to buy a new(used but new to me) car must be rwd or awd, I want a car that looks good to start/may not have a lot of tunning support but is already decent in the performance dept.(bmw?) or can look good with some work/has a lot of tunning support(miata?)not looking to spend outrageous amounts of cash but can always make more money if the car is right.....(I know you guys are honda fans but please dont only say s2k though that is an option ;)

i dont think you realise the ammount of aftermarket performance support that BMW has

lets put it this way

BMW has AT LEAST as much aftermarket peorormance support as hondas do (probly more)
the reason it seems like less is because they dont have all the bullshit ricer companies making parts for them

My vote is for the miata, who cares if some people feel it is a girly car, it handles so damn well, and its almost 50/50 weight distrobution is pretty dope. The new turbo model should be a bit more fun of a toy than the previous models. The miata is a pretty sweet sports car, and if you feel you need more power than it already has, a blower or bigger turbo is not that hard to get on there.

They do have turbo kits for the Miata out there. The kit would fit on TPPs Escort if the Intake came from the passenger side and not the driver side. :)

I still vote on the W-Rex

wrx all the way... half of my money goes towards the honda fund, and the other is going towards the subie...

The new Mazdaspeed version yes, but I'm sur eyou can still buy the NA 150(?) hp version which comes with a BPD8. :)

The truly badass thing about the Mazda speed Miata is that they're advertising it for roughly the same price as the MX-5 Miata LS model (6 sp and bilsteen shocks among other performance goodies) However, the only problem with the mazdaspeed miata is the IHI turbo is only good for 7.25 psi. You'd have to buy a new turbo for more power.

For the price of the LS + 3k you could get a kit with a turbo that should be able to handle up to 14 psi. Either way I think it'd work out to roughly the same price.

The stock bpd8 bottom end can handle upwards of 15 psi of boost. So if TPP wanted to, he could boost his Escort like crazy on the stock bottom end. :worthy:

thats because te miata is NOT a drag car
its meant for cornering
a small fast spooling turbo will give you the power to pull out of a corner harder without the problems of lag, uneven acceleration, or traction loss
