What year?

I bought a "96 ls longblock". Is there anyway I can confirm that this is actually a 1996 motor. Is there anything that is stammped ont the head that would tell me. I think there is a P75 stammped on it? What does that mean? Let me know,thanx.

On the front left side of the head, there are a series of numbers in small circles. The one on the far left is the year it was cast.
