whats going on here?

so i put a new dizzy on my gsr and i go to start it up and the timing belt jumped on the intake cam gear. So i take it off and get it where it should be and go to start it up again and it jumped a second time and shot flames out of the intake. what the hell is going on with my car?

Hope you didnt bend any valves.


Re-time the motor, and its time for a new T-belt tensioner. might as well throw a belt on there too while you are at it.

Make sure cams are TDC and crankshaft are TDC. If the belt keeping coming you may have a faulty tensioner or is not torque to spec.

ok so its all taken care of now...my friend put the firing order on the cap the way it's suppose to be but this dizzy is somehow reversed so the order was totally off...switched that and advanced the timing a bit and now shes runnin like a champ.
