I was wondering what the difference between a Longblock and Shortblock really are because I'm saving to change over my block and need to know which I should get. Any help please!!!

I believe this was posted not too long ago, but whatever.
shortblock = from the oil pan to the top of the "bottom" end (which is just before the head/headgasket)
longblock = is from the oil pan to the top of the valve cover (including the head, but usually minus the Intake manifold, TB.
Just add valve cover, and i have no idea what motor this is, looks like a 4g63 to me?
