Hey guys,

I was wondering whats the highest you can safely boost on a stock GSR engine, with a little fuel management?

0 psi.

You need good fuel management like an FMU (shitty), a VAFC (not ideal), or hondata (ideal) and larger injectors to run any boost safely.

The components will probably hold about 8-12psi, thats sort of the general consensis, but the HP goal means a lot more than PSI.

consensus seems to be 300whp among the DIY crowd.
Most ppl need 9-14psi to get there, depending on turbo size and efficiency, intercooler size and efficiency and competence of tuner.

Power is a much better measure of stress on the motor than boost level. Read in the forced induction forum if you need to understand why.

psi/boost is relative and in and of itself meaningless.

stock gsr blocks can hold 300 whp with PROPER fuel management
and 200-230 with hack jobs things liek fmus and vafc hacks

without anything, it will hold about 1 psi and make 160 whp. the map sensor with throw a check engine light at 2 psi and retard your timing into oblivion, and you'll make 40 hp.

way to cheap out
