quote=hcivic.com,Oct 18 2004, 01:25 PM]my friend and I are looking to buy a "beater" for going off road and trail riding. we were looking at a 79 bronco ranger with a 460 big block in it, but it had too much rust. going to continue looking. we plan on fixing it up, putting a roll cage in it, 2 winches, a 8 inch lift, 38 inch tires, and some other stuff.
2 whinches why only need 1, 8 lift in a ford good luck torson bar suspension and if your gonna run 38's get pizza cutter and don't forget to weld up the rear diff and if you guys want a cheap and easy truck to build go with a suzuki samari the come geared at 2-1 in the t case and you can get 5.13 gears for the diffs for about 200 bucks front and rear.

were doing 2 cause we're lazy, one in the front one in the back. knowin my friend we'll need 2 for some stupid reason.
weve lifted things higher around here, and not had any problems at all. I helped this kid lift his F150. It was a 95, 4x4. We put a 15 inch suspension lift, a 3" body and ladder bars, and had it rolling 44" Super swampers. thing was sweet.
