"When to Shift"

    i have a four speed d15b dpfi.basically all stock.

    im in first going 15mph sumtimes 20, shift to second, i let second ride sumtimes to 40 mph, shift to 3rd,let 3rd cruz 50mph. ANY HARM BEING DUN TO ENGINE OR TRANNY?? any advice would b great.

    ANOTHER THING....

    im cruiz in secon OR 3rd depending wut my speed is....but when i let off the gas it jerks a bit.i pushon the gas and it jerks a bit more....BAD TIMING? any advice would be great.THANX

    No. I've cruised at 4000RPM plenty of times. Pretty much keep it in whatever gear offers the lowest rpm without bogging the motor(RPM too low).

    Jerking is most likely worn motor mounts.
