In before teh lock!
Since there's been 234233 threads about this, i will make an official statement.
the threads are removed because Ji removed the content from them. no use in having a sticky with "Edit by loco honkey" as the body.
Ji decided on his own that he would stop coming to the board do to issues with other members. He asked me to ban certain members or that he will leave. I'm not playing favorites, and i'm not going to ban someone from the board because of personal differences that one may have with another. More so, I'm not one to take an ultumatum. One gets banned from the board for breaking the rules. So be it, he stopped coming. A few days later, he had gone through and removed all his "real" posts by editing them to nothing. After that, I disabled his account to prevent futher disruptions that he may cause. Who knows... might've started posting porn and shit.. All his tech shit was gone anyway, so it was time to simply diable/ban him.
After that, personal drama ensued between him and I, and we are no longer speaking, nor probably will ever again. Am I hurt? No, I'm more pissed off that someone can be like this over such a thing as the internet. I've spent a weekend at his house. His mother cooked a lot of us from the northeast dinner. He came down for the weekend to help me get my car together back in may. I western unioned him $200 bucks when he was coming back from oregon so that he could grab a hotel a couple nights. That's what friends do for each other. He was appreciative of it- and in return, he gave me the weekend of his back on the sol. It was given back. Again, a thing friends do. It was never about the money between us. I just want to make that clear. $200 bucks to me is petty cash to spend on someone in need of a hand. Ever see the movie pay it forward? I did a good dead- he returned the favor. Again, it's what friends do.
On the other hand, it's what friends don't do that brought with it the whole situation. He put me in a position that i didnt want to be in. Kept pushing at it, and finially gave me the ultimatum. No big deal, i thought. So he won't be posting anymore. Thats fine. But, he took it to the next level. It made a situation that WASN'T between me and him a situation about me and him. the rest is history.
The thing with ji, was that you either loved him for his arrogance and attitude, or you hated him for his arrogance and his attitude.
Be that as it may, His posts are gone, the threads are gone, and if you missed them, you're more than welcome to contact him off the board.
But, chances are he blocked everyone from aim and wouldn't respond to your e-mail anyway.
It's time to simply move forward and forget the past. One member can't break us. We're stronger than that.
I'm going to leave the thread open to replies, as i'm sure others may have comments to make. So be it. Just keep it constructive or it will be re-closed and the topic will not be discussed again.
I'm sure at some point, ji will be reading this. And To you, my old friend, i simply have to say that it's a shame that it came down to that.

I'm sad to see the Loco Honkey go, but it really pisses me off that he removed his info from the site. It was unnessesarily bastardly, even for Ji. He knew his shit, but knowledge is worthless if you're not going to share it.

Sorry b for posting "yet another thread", i only saw one, and it didnt ask about this. plus i just noticed, i didnt mean to start a whole thing about it. About ji being gone, i miss him. I do appreciate his humor on here. Its sad to see someone of his knowledge leave.

I didn't realize that Ji had a falling out with B. I remember last spring when I mentioned to Ji in passing that B's birthday was in a week and some of us wanted to surprise him at a CT by showing up unannounced. Ji was all excited and told me about that $200 that B had lent him for motel money for his trip home to VT from OR. He told him how special a friend B was to him. So Ji also showed up at the nightclub and then a week later went down to try help B finish his Sol project.
Well Ji's tech knowledge will be missed, but others will I'm sure take up the slack. Life moves on. Yes, he had a very entertaining and colorful internet personality... but unfortunately he couldn't keep his persona contained within the Members Lounge. It had no place elsewhere in the forum, and certainly not in the for sale forum calling complete underserving strangers "cocksucker" and "dickhead". He has a quick temper, a fault that he himself is well aware of and that is what did in our summer friendship. As Ji made a very scathing post to me in the For Sale forum several months ago, I would now like to say something about it. I hope the mods here don't mind too much, but this has been bothering me as Ji's remarks were up for about 12 hours before they finally got deleted by a mod. And since ScrapinSi posted in that thread that I was owned, I suspect that he linked all his buddies on ClubSi to it too as the hits on that thread were quite high.... so yeah, keeping quiet was very frustrating and especially as I didn't feel owned. Ji was completely out of line with what he posted about me and Matt.
It was in Seany-izzle's thread about selling parts for a black 93 Si. I immediately knew that was Ji's old car. Over the summer, Ji told me that the kid he sold it to wanted to sell it. Ji had offered him $300. Ji and I had discussed that I might want to buy some of the parts from it for my cars. $300 was ridiculously low for that car, but Ji thought that he could get it for that, as he was still so proud over his AllTrac deal with him. Ji often boasted how that kid basically paid him to take that car from him. Well I was good and didn't try to go around Ji by asking Seany-izzle to contact that kid for me. There are plenty of hatch parts around and there was no need to upset Ji should he find out. Fast forward to reading that for sale thread... I had made a comment, half in jest, that Ji was an ass for not giving him the headsup on the sale. I felt that if the tables were turned, I would have told Ji first about any AllTracs being parted out in Boston. Also, as Ji seemed to enjoy his role as an internet tough guy, calling him an ass was sort of giving his internet persona a compliment. But what ended up happening is that Ji completely overreacted to my post and spewed all kinds of untrue filth at me and Matt. At the same time, Seany-izzle begged me not to mess up his for sale thread and promised me that he was getting a mod to delete Ji's remarks. So I stayed silent and quietly endured ScrapinSi posting that I was owned.
To Ji's personal attack on me.... I was a great friend to him all summer and my becoming Matt's gf didn't change the way I treated him. Matt thought him a friend too. And Matt and I were there with him on Rt. 17 when he took that corner too fast and went off road in his AllTrac. We kept his secret and told no one, not even TurboMirage what happened. I lent him my Si right away so he could get to work the next day, and everyone knows how much I love my Si. In fact, a whole ton of my friends were in shock that I would lend my Si to anyone. And then when I needed my Si back, Ji got to borrow my GS-R sedan and this went on all summer. Anytime that I needed the other car, I was the one that drove up to switch them. Ji never offered to pay for my gas on these trips either. I've also helped him in other ways, but as B knows, when Ji is pissed off, suddenly it's all about him and he's the only victim. Well Ji offered to pay for his share of the car insurance on my cars this summer, but who knows if he feels that I still deserve re-payment. Oh well, it was only an extra $85 a month. He wanted to keep my GSR for the rest of the year, but by fall, I told him that he was welcome to any of my DX hatches instead... but I guess that they weren't good enough for him. lol. I even went up to VT one weekend to help him with his Tein suspension install, and because B still had that 19mm deep socket, I lent Ji mine that Sunday and for the next month for his mechanics job. At the Pikes Peak Hillclimb, Matt and I picked him up at the airport, he shared a room with us and we took him to the race. And he still owes me his share of the hotel, and this after he announced that we should split the room three ways. He gave MugenCRX $20 for driving him to the airport the next day, but we go offered nothing for picking him up. But anyway, after what I've done for Ji, I really did feel that I deserved first crack at those Si parts and since he owed me money, it made even more sense. But now of course, I don't want any of them. And there was one more thing about that attack, in the middle of the summer, Ji told me that Clayton had warned him during an AIM convo that I was crazy. Well whatever, but I knew about that convo all along.
As another of Ji's friends has said about him... one thing that all of Ji's longtime friends have in common is a very high level of tolerance. B said it well, either you love him or you hate him. Best wishes to him in his life travels.... and many thanks to his parents for their kind hospitality for the one meet that I went to. I hope that he isn't making HondaSwap out to be ungrateful for their generosity. And if he truly believes in karma (he likes to bring that stuff up alot), his past and current actions are not going to bring any positive energy into his life, only negative.

During the summer, Matt and I suggested to Ji that he would make an excellent lawyer. He could have specialized in patent law or in anything involving engineering tech in it.

I got a strong wiff of his arrogance a few times. Though he didnt seem like such a bad guy i did see alot of personal attacks on people that were just in really poor taste, even for the internet. I think this is a place for us all to act a lil out of the norm, kind of take are own personalitys a step further. I think the internet life was probably just geting the better of him.
And to 94redSigal, after reading your post i would have to say i agree with you about first dibs and what not,i dont think thats asking to much. he shold have been a lil more considerate see as how you had done so much for him.

How much would the shipping be? lol. Maybe I can drive up to see you sometime... and we can check out your car. Is your new turbo setup all done? You should have Matt tune it. Well I actually found a red JDM front bumper on eBay for $26 to replace my old one with the big holes that Ji cut in my grills for his big Ji foglights. And I have a lip... but as I have two DX hatchs, the more parts the merrier.
I don't understand Sean, why you don't get the whole scoop on this from the horse's mouth? I thought you two were fairly good friends in real life? VT representz and all.
Again, I'm sorry that Ji's pride got the best of him. And his birthday was in November about the time he departed. I noticed before he got banned, I thought it odd that he removed his birthday from his profile. He did have a lot of Loco fans here and I'm sure that they all would have wanted to wish him Happy 28th and all. And I also hope that his Nesteggstudios project turns out okay, I know that means a lot to him. He's already to buy an Enzo once it gets off the ground. lol.
I think that B did the right thing as it's his site. We've all seen how hard he tries to keep impartial with his friends on the forum. Maybe Ji needs to start his own forum. Maybe he could take over the Backyard site? That way, those that chose to join would expect the Loco treatment. It would be in the registering disclaimer statement that the member would be willing to put up with any and all Loco abuse. B)
