S Slo86GT Super Moderator Jul 1, 2003 #2 On your D series tranny, remove the 10mm bolt that hold the VSS in place. You'll have to wobble the VSS around to get it out, it's a tight fit. Put the D series VSS in the B series tranny, and then the stock cable will work. Tah dah.

U Uppertorso Senior Member Jul 5, 2003 #3 actually i did mine by just removing the vss on the Y1, and installed the cable in the hole and tie straped the rubber boot on the tranny, presto!!
