which b16 is the best ? ? ? ?

i own a b16a 2nd gen from a 93' da9
it's swapped on my ef hatch and i use to race it with the same cars with the same engine so why i cant go as fast as others ????
what is the difference between B16a----B16a1----B16a2----B16a3--etc...?
and which is the best in performance as a standard set up???

B16A - JDM b16 170hp 113lbs
B16A2 - USDM 2nd gen b16 160hp 110lbs OBD1
B16A3 - USDM 3rd gen b16 160hp 110 lbs OBD2
B16B - Civic type R 185hp 110 lbs

USDM b16's I believe are rated at 160hp while JDM b16's are rated 170hp with slightly higher compression. My figures may be off but they're close. Main difference is OBD.
