Which tranny for gsr build?

Ok so in the hopefully near future I plan on building a gsr block and head for my eg hatch, and I don't plan on boosting so I want to get a b16 tranny for the motor. But which ones are better or worse? Reason I ask is because from my research I seen a few different models from b16's. I'm new with b-series motors because I've only had enough money last year to get a sohc vtec :yuck:.

b16 trans should suit you fine. i have one in my car and i love it, even boosted.

shorter gearing = faster acceleration, lower top speed
longer gearing = slower acceleration, but higher top speed
just remember that.

no no i know that i meant which version of the b16 because theres a lot of different ones from different cars (S1, J1, Y1, Y21, Y80 etc). Which ones are better or worse of if it even matters?
