When you stop drinking to get drunk and start drinking to enjoy the liquor (beer, wine, etc), you may change what you have to say.
I found out early on that I didn't like getting drunk, and that the combination of my metabolism and tolerance made getting there really expensive... so I just enjoy it for the taste.
