I can almost hear the "OHU U U U U ME!" in the background.
i don't recognize any of those guys... whats the story behind all this?
Apparently they all lied. (but only partially)
Clemens is pumping his veins full of that shit.
I have a feeling that Clemens is lying through his teeth. He is trying to cover his ass because he never thought it would go this far. He and Bonds will star in the prison league - don't worry it will still be on ESPN.
Bah. Whatever. If professional meatheads wanna pump themselves full of drugs in an effort to entertain me, I am all for it.
i guess capitol hill has nothing better to do than rule over which washed up sports stars used steroids and which didnt. wtf. rule on some real world shit like gas prices or why cloverfield has yet to level NYC in real life.
They need a diversion to distract us from their constant erosion of our freedoms.
Roger Clemens, accused of doping up on steroids and HGH...he swears he didn't, his former trainer swears he did...congressional investigation, etc., etc.
Yes, basically just something else to divert our attention away from all the shitty legislation being passed and pending.
*puts on tin hat*
my boss at fidelity played college ball with clemens down in houston. i talked to my old boss and he said EVERYBODY at that college took it, even him. he says when clemens started there, he was throwing 82-85 mph fastballs. when he was there a couple years and hit the bigs, he started hitting high 90's.
my deal is, 90% of big leagues used something illegal at some point. just not all are getting caught.
I really could care less if he did do it but at least be honest about it. I would have more respect for a player if they came out and said "Hell yeah I used the juice. It wasn't against the rules and I stopped when it became against the policy of the league." I honestly believe most players have used some sort of something at some point.
While I 100% support honesty, the fact that the general public is so idiotic to not realize that the rest of the athletes are using makes it very difficult to put your career on the line and step forward, when you may be shunned by other players and even the league for bringing negative press.
Steroids aren't the devil and are actually healthy depending on dosage. When you start jacking up the dosage and going crazy is when you run into serious health risks.
I like that some prohormones, which are ingestible, are or were legally sold over the counter to any customer, regardless of age. This is ironic because ingestible steroids/prohormones have to go through the liver and kidneys before entering the blood stream. Much more serious side effects on internal organs can come as a result of ingesting large doses, its actually much safer, when dosages are kept within reason, to directly inject into the blood stream and not have your kidneys and liver act as a filter during digestion/absorption.
Yeah, there's no doubt in my mind that Clemens was juicing. Seriously, how many guys in their 40s can throw a baseball at 100 mph without a little "help" of some sort?
the issue is more of the juicing in late 90's early 2000 more than now. and his velocity has fallen off tremendously. look at his stats. he isn't pitching that great anymore.

Nolan Ryan did it and I am 100% convinced that he was not on the juice.
bingo! you beat me to it.
i dont think Clemens did it. It was obvious Mark maguire did it. Look at him when he was with te A's. and when he left the cardinals.
Clemens' apprearence never changed besides the normal aging. And yes it is possible to get better as the years go by. Cal Ripkin, Nolan Ryan, and wells are good axamples of older guys still hanging with the young guns.
Now Barry bonds however, his head grew like 3 hat sizes when he started jucing up. Sammy Sosa as well. He freaking sucked even when he was hitting bombs out of the park.
i dont know. it sucks because as far as we know they ALL did it. I have heard it over and over again.....they have ruined the pride of baseball.
I'm in for the who cares vote. Our tax money is going to investigate something totally pointless. Thanks again to all the taxpayers out there for giving support checks to rich old white men (generally speaking), who don't need the money.
