why do i have to re-log in every 20 minites

after veiwing threads for about 20 minutes i unexpectedly have to re-log it!!! WTF? can i change the setting to like all day for example? how can i do that?
 
well my browser does accept cookies and i do the remember me box but if i get a phone call and dont touch the computer for about 10 minuits while i was veiwing a thread, when i reply and submit i find i got logged out somehow and i have to re-type my post. does this happen to other mambers? or is there somthin else wrong?
