Why wont my car start?

today i went to start my car but its not. It was very low in fuel so i took a jerry can and emptied it into it, and it still wont start. I've never had any problems with it not starting before...is it bad to run your fuel dry when its injected? any ideas anyone! i need my car running!

does the motor turn over and just not fire ? check for fuel and spark

yea it just wont fire. how do you check for fuel and spark? i was looking for it but its hard to get too...

well im gettting spark but no fuel. What does that usually mean? could it be the fuel pump or main relay?

If you ran it flat dry the pump may have fried but the main relay is a common problem in Hondas.

see if you can hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key over to the on position

i tried to hear for something, but i cant hear anything. No clicks or anything...

its like a buzzing noise coming from around your back seat

if you didnt hear the relay click then i would replace that first

does anyone know if a fuel pump from a different honda will work on the prelude?

ok got the main relay out, but not sure how to tell if its fried or not? it looks fine to me???

im pretty sure you cant really tell, i think you have to just get a good one and put in

just hold it in your hand and hear if it comes on and also feel for it to click on

take the grey cover off the relay resolder all solder points and then put it back in should fix your problem

there is no gray cover? its brown and does the cover just pop off?
