wiesr elec problem

When i connect the negative terminal on the battery, my fuel pump primes and gauges cluster comes on as if i turned the key to the on pos. i check all fuses, unplugged the ignition switch harness(both) from under steering column. i unplugged all 3 shock tower plugs. funny thing is, when all 3 are unplugged, the gauge cluster(brake and check engine) lights are still on. when i plug in the 2nd largest, the fuel pump primes. what else should i check?

sounds like you have a short some where. take negative off the battery and put a test light in between the ground cable and the battery if it lights up then you defenatly have a short some where but that is the hard part to find.
