Well I was reading wikicars and it got me thinking how easy/hard to find or even rare is it to come by a B16A1 in the US. It was avaliable in both the CRX 1.6i-VT (EE8) and the CRX-SiR (EF8). If it was avaliable in these CRX's shouldn't it just bolt up ?? or was there something extremely different between the two models mentioned and the USDM 91 CRX ??

It would be nice if it was a direct bolt up, but I'm betting it's not.

the EE8 and EF8 with the B16A had a different chassis from the others in order to accomodate the B16A - to install the B16A into the USDM CRX requires the use of a special mount kit, shift linkage and axles

the B16A1 is the European model - the JDM model is just B16A - lots of people import them to the U.S. - here is one example:
