will h22 work with a 85 prelude

this may sound like a dumb question but i have a friend who just inherited a 1985 prelude. and he wants to know if he can put a h22 in it. what would it take to do such a swap and is it worth it to put a different engine in there if applicable. is it possible without spending gobs money?

It is a possible swap if you really wanted too. But there will be a lot of wiring and fabrication required. Is it a recommended swap HELL NO. You friend would probably be better off selling it and getting a better base or just a 93-96 Prelude which comes with the h22a

I'm sure someone has done it, and it has to be possible. I don't think it's a money-worthy project though.

seriously,why put a prelude motor in a prelude? i say just get the newer prelude if all you want it the motor for its power.

afaik there are no good swaps for that car that are fairly easy and cheap. dump it.
