will y8 dizzy work on y7 motor

i tried searching and i could not find ne thing to help me on this hopefully some one here can help i have a 97 dx and my distributor was stolen now i can get a single vtec y8 dizzy at a good price can i use this on my y7.thanx please if u can email me at lsvtec1991@netscape.net TIA
