So i am sure there are a million threads on this but i had a few questions.

My car looks like it has an attempted window "tint" on it it really didnt tint the windows but there are hideous bubbles in it. I wanted to get my windows retinted by a professional and not someone who claims they know how to do it I was curious what price range to expect when getting this done? will i have to buy the tinting or will it be included in the cost? and will i have to remove the shitty tint job on my car before getting it done?

    thanks

ps. does anyone know the tinting law of virginia?

I have seen anywhere from $99 for a crap ass job to $180 for a very good tint job. It is all going to depend where you go. I would personally not suggest going to a place on the side of the street that does it under a tent. I'll be taking mine to get tinted at the same place that installed my stereo. I've seen many cars come out of there after getting tinted and re-tinted and the quality of their work precedes them.

Perhaps call up your local law enforcement and ask them or just google your state laws. :D We have an 18% limit on the front windows in Florida, while the rear are allowed to be limo tinted. Go figure.

    Best of luck.

Holy crap! Thank you for that, George.

When I got pulled over my two bored state troopers on the Turnpike, they told me that my front window (yes, one, as my drivers side window has not been tinted in years since my car has been broken into so many times) was a shade too dark at 15%. Then again, that was about three years ago too.

Either way, thank you once again for that, George. Enjoy the rep.

well, it's more expensive than getting your windows tinted but you can get your windows taken out and baked in an oven which can turn them 35% or limo dark and its perfectly legal. thats how stock cars like a bunch of the new bmws and lexus' get away with having dark ass tint. cause it's not really tint
