hey ok so im gona be swaping my 91 CRX DX wit a B18 LS motor. one of my boys said that i can use the CRX SI ECU and wiring harness and it will all plug in fine and fit great. is this true?? or what shuld i do for the harness?

The CRX Si ECU (PM6) will run the car, but not run it well. Too little fuel - its designed for a 1.6L SOHC.

The 90-91 PR4 ECU will run a B18 like honda intended it to be run, which is to say rather conservatively.

The CRX Si ECU will run a B18 just as well as a PR4, if chipped. Additionally, program tweeks could potentially enhance performance *slightly*.

The first rule of swaps that was taught to me was ALWAYS USE THE STOCK HARNESS, REWIRE WHAT YOU NEED TO.

The DX to MPFI conversion is not that hard. I've only ever done the conversion, never swapped complete harnesses. It's not that difficult of a conversion. There is a decent writeup here: https://hondaswap.com/articles/viewer.php?id=7

FWIW, I have a PR4 I'd probably trade you for a PM6. If you just wanted to chip your PM6, could probably do that too.

so to when u said the rule u were taught was to use the stock harness, that harness would be the B18 LS harness and ecu? is that what ur talkn bout? or just use the dx harness and get a b18 ecu. now the PR4 ECU is from what engine/ car. and does my DX that i have now have the PM6 in it or is that just the SI. thanks for explain it to me this is my first swap, but i am at a auto college so i got my boys and all the equitment that is needed. for the swap its just understanging the diffrent ECUs and stuff. thanks bro

check out these, as you need to do an MPFI swap first... and then the LS motor is almost a stroight forward swap.
This is all that i needed to do the swap it is more than enough info, the CRX powerone has its false moments but the pic and the hybrid honda link are acurate.

Good Luck

for clarity:
PM6 came in 88-91 Si
PR4 came in 90-1 and 92-93 LS/GS integra BUT the 92-93 is electrically incompatible with your car.

"Use the stock harness" means use whatever harness matches the car. If you swap an engine, adapt the harness in the car to start with to work with the new motor.
