Im not sure if this is an actual problem or not, but when driving my 91 teggy wont go past 7k rpm, but it goes up to 8k rpm(guessing rev limiter). now to me this makes no sense why it would stop its self at only 7k when it still has 1 to go. If it stopped at 7500 thats more understandable but i would just like to be sure if its something i need to replace/fix first or my car is built like that. Even so, i havent lost in it yet :p beat 2 v6 eclipses and some other non as important cars. Would love more help please!! :)

Because the LS motor isn't meant to rev that high. At 7k RPMs it's already past it's peak torque point. Revving it ultra high doesn't make you extra power, all it does is wear shit out prematurely.

Notice that the redline is 6700 RPMs and the rev limiter is 7100 RPMS. However peak horsepower is at 6000 RPMs and peak torque is at 5000 RPMs.
