it might be due to amd's cool and quiet. it automatically clocks the speed down to save energy. to see if its really 2.0ghz, download prime95 and cpuz. run prime which will put the cpu to full load and then check cpuz. it should come up as 2.0ghz.

on AMDs, thats a lot. think about it. a 1.8ghz chip sold for $140 and a 2.2ghz sold for $280. im speaking of the 3000+ and 3500+.

also, just for comparison, my stock 1.8ghz ripped and compressed movie took about 30 minutes, when overclocked to 2.2ghz it did it in 26 minutes. now at 2.4ghz it does it in 23.
 
B, it might be like the pentium M. it only give you 2.0GHz if you REALLY need it.
