wrist pin help??

so i had to get my stock gsr wrist pins pressed out..but i figured id be able to put my new piston and wrist pins back in no problem...WRONG???? i think i have to press my new ones into the rods also, and they are aftermarket...does anyone know any tricks besides heat?? i dont want to heat my piston up while the wrist pin is halfway in...HELP

so you're using an aftermarket piston and stock rods? stock rods and pistons are press fit where as aftermarket setups are almost always floating pins with locking clips. are you sure the pistons you have are meant for use with stock rods? if they are then thats fine, but they will need to be press fit into place.

if they are a press fit piston pretty much the only way youll get them on is heat
