Looking to buy (as the title reads) a D16 crank for my D16y7 I just spun a rod bearing in. If anyone has one give me a holla either on this thread or by email Unsivil_audio@hotmail.com, Also I was wondering if the difference between the D15's and the D16's stroke was in the crank or the rods? Cause if it was in the rods I can just use a D15 crank and retain my current rods.

    Thankx in Advanz

    Joel

The difference in stroke comes only from the crank. Different length rods would only change how high the piston rises in the bore of your block, not the stroke length. The D16 crank has a 90mm stroke, while the D15 crank has an 84.4mm stroke.

Thank you, Calesta. I guess I didnt get it before that the length of the rod only dictates how far away from the crank the piston will always be and that only more movement on the crank will give you more stroke.
