Ok so my e-brake light started coming on and off during normal driving around town. Especially after taking tight corners. and it just started to stay on all the time. I took the e-brake cover off and found the little switch. It looks like a simple device that completes the connection when the handle is down. and a spring lifts the contacts away when the e-brake handle is pulled. This seems to be working just fine, but the light still won't go off? Any ideas?

Your brake fluid is low. There's a sensor in the reservoir of your master cylinder. When your pads start wearing out, the fluid level drops because the brake pistons are closed down more at rest, and when the level is low enough to trip the sensor (and you haven't been topping it off), it usually means that your pads are due for replacement. Taking corners at speed exaggerates it a bit- the sloshing fluid exposes the sensor and makes the ECU think that the fluid is too low.

Check your brake fluid level and check your brake pad wear.

Calesta probably nailed it.

If that isn't it, check the E-brake switch(under the e-brake lever cover or console).. It sometimes works itself out of place and needs to be adjusted and tightened back up.

Ok cool. was thinking it was going to be some problem with the dash wiring. Thanks for the help!
