Yeah, in WA, all blue lights are illegal on a car if they can be seen outside of a car from more then 5ft away. I seriously think, they are stupid but yeah, in my local library there is all the books on every law and crime punishable, so it is easy to find out if it is a bogus law or not.

Actually though, I have seen a decked out 99 or so ford escort in my area break up a car meet(streetraces)outside the movie theatre with blue strobes in the headlights, and yeah it was a cop. The car was really modded, all black, with black tint, no chrome on it, and yeah it was fuckin loud.

Also, the media does tend to take a dumb story and run with it just for the publicity, no matter who is right. Hopefully this news station will do the right thing, although it looks like they're already headed down the path of making this girl a martyr...

I got nailed driving my old lady's crx, she had the blue light squirters too.
The cop was like, did you know those blue lights were illegal?
I said no, should I remove them now?,
He said no, and let me drive away, but I looked it up, and Autozone doesn't want them back and won't exchange them for yellows or whites.
I say they should be fined like if you sold illegal fireworks or something, sure let the buyer beware but what is a kid gonna do about a $800.00 fine?
Buuuuut- the chick was kinda homely and I'm sure she mouthed off to the cop.
That means all the blue lights at autozone are illegal, those fucks.

there are a lot of products that are legal to sell even if they are not legal for use
for instance... products that say "for off road use only" are compleatly legal to sell and use ... just not on public roads...

they did nothing wrong by selling them to you
you just didnt do enough research on the product before you bought it

this goes for several other things too.... in CT it is illegal to carry a butterfly knife or any knife with a blade longer than 4 inches... but you can go to just about every mall and get all of that shit.... selling it is legal, buying it is legal, carying it is not.....

you can get bongs, rolling papers, blunt wrappers, etc, all over the place but smoking weed is illegal.....

in PA it is illegal to have or use fireworks.... but its legal to sell them there.... you have to show an out of state license to buy them

theres a lot of laws like that that dont seem to make sence.... but you still need to follow them

well, before i actually realized being rice is the lamest thing i could do, i had a blue license plate frame, and 2 blue neons on the dash. i got pulled over and had to go to vehicle inspection, i spent over 600 bucks and the 150 doller ticket getting my car to pass. they almost said it was to low, and that a canister exhaust is illegal. well 1 guy said it was to low, and the exhaust was a "straight pipe", then i took it to another guy and he said " shit if we fail u for this we'll have to fail 90% of the japanese cars on the road" and let me go with only buying a few things, i needed them anyway tho. very stupid punishment, give her a ticket, make her take them off and let it go.

we need ricers; like the ying and yang. without ricers, there is no "real" racers and tuners. but that sentence was a little harsh. over here its illegal to have lights besides white or amber or inbetween, well colored lights in general, including those neon glow lights.

i hate to tell you this people, but in the eyes of the law, it doesnt matter if its blue lights, a loud exhaust, or an illegally modified suspension...to the law we are ALL RICERS! ...and if she had gotten a ticket for a loud exhaust or modified suspension...you would all be on HER side.
