Found the soundtrack. I heard of this new album of his but didn't realize it was for the movie.

Already downloaded and will listen to it on my drive home.

Soundtrack is not bad. One of my coworkers said it's on par with The Chronic.

I would strongly disagree.

were you baked while listening to it? cuz if you weren't, you arent getting the full effect.

No where near on par with the Chronic. Dude is smoking crack. It is an ok soundtrack but sounds too much like a Kendrick Lamar album. A few of the songs towards the end are pretty good though. I dig the song with Eminem.

Saw the movie last night. It was fucking great, I don't think it could have been any better actually. 10/10 wood watch again.

I agree. Billed as a Dre album but its really not. More of a compilation. Every track features someone else for the most part. Not a bad thing just not a Dre album.

Probably won't see the movie until it's on blu Ray.

Compton isn't a proper soundtrack for the film. I read the title as a sound track for the city of Compton itself.

I would have to agree with Nick as well. All of Dre's albums are pretty compilation like. And we are looking at 2001 and The Chronic with 16+ years of nostalgia. We associate a lot of life events with songs and what not. And for a lot of us of us we listened to Dre and early Em while in high school and early 20s when we where all doing stupid shit. Plus the way hip hop/rap/gfunk whatever you wanna call it is made differently now. Warren G just did an interview where he talked about how sampling was way diffrent in the 90s compared to now. So it partially explains why the sound of modern rap/hip hop/gfunk sounds so different.
