Finally out of the 99 GMC Sevanna, almost. We picked up our two "new to us" vehicles yesterday. I will now be driving a 2009 Chevy HHR. 41,000 miles or so, cruise, automatic, air, tilt steering, power windows/locks/keyless entry (giggidy).

My only prerequisite was cruise control. After 6.5 years, Mission. Accomplished.

You can see what I was coming from in the background there.

Edit: Right now it's a plain white, but we're actually going to get it lettered with our company name, number, website, etc in the next few days.

I need to come up with a nickname for it. Saying HHR all the time is weird. Don't know why, but it is. Anyway, the 99 Windstar was my "Battle Wagon", that poor van was abused to hell and back by a former coworker, and I inherited the problems, including the transmission that ended up exploding. The 99 GMC was aptly named Piece of Shit, just because it is... and I will always hate it.

I was thinking about Battle Wagon v2.0.

I was not a fan after test driving the panel hhr. Seemed way too cramped without windows, and made lane changing a nightmare.

Meh, the panel HHR is awesome.

Most people pronounce it as "Hurh."

Nice. I too like the panel versions but I can imagine the visibility nightmare as I used to have to drive those huge Sprinter delivery vans. Hated those things.

Nice I drive an HHR sometimes, when we need to haul motors or trans. Good little vehicle, terrible sound system though, my passenger side speaker blew shortly after I bought the car, and it was generally just not a good sounding stereo.

When looking into these vehicles make sure they can handle the amount of weight you need to carry. If you are worried about backing out add a backup camera.

Thats the beauty of it, I cant carry as much so i'm going to get two 33 gallon toolchests (one for system install equipment and the other for misc telephone needs), my 4ft ladder, drill case, and a few extension cords. I could easily keep this under 200 lbs of stuff. Backing up is SO much easier than it was in that Sevanna, plus im putting on blind spot mirrors.

So last monday I had to drop it off and go back to the GMC for a day. We sent it to a customer who does custom vehicle graphics. Tuesday morning I got it back. We got our logo, site name, number, and ESI certified retailer logo on it. Looks pretty sick.

Edit: fuck the snow. Shit was icy as hell Wednesday morning when I drove it to work. I can tell you it has ABS, goddamn black ice.

Not a bad looking work rig if you ask me. Especially when comparing to what you used to drive.
