i was just thinking and if anyone knows what kind of shift linkage i need for my crx if i were to put a d16z6 in it i would appreciate it. would i be able to use my stock shift linkage since it is a d-series or would i need the one from the z6 or would i need a custom?

Stock, you use the same tranny, from your car or any 2g crx or 4thgen civic of your choice, preferably the si one.

so then i use my flywheel and cluch and a tranny from my year(mine is an hf, so needless to say not my tranny)

This an 88-91 CRX right? If so you should get an 89-91CRX/Civic Si tranny, if you can't get one of those get an 89-91 lx/dx SEDAN tranny. After that get a dx hatch tranny. Anything other than that don't waste your time.
AN 89 tranny comes with a smaller flywheel but the flywheel from the z6 or the 90-91 will fit on it. This allows you to use a larger clutch. I am 99% sure you use the clutch for the flywheel you are using.
This is an easy swap, I did it in my old civic.
