I have a crx 1990 witha zc in it . i have a 88crxsi harness in it The car wont start. it throws a 9 code on the si ecu could the camsensor be bad or wired wrong?? it has no spark at all. but power on all the distributor and coil. i wired it color for color. The car originally had this motor with the dx harness but would quit going down the road and wont fire up. i then put new coil in ran for 1 hour the quit. so i proceeded to put a si harness in it. thanks for any help guys!!

was the car originally a DX? did you swap out the entire chassis and engine harnesses for the Si? did it have any codes when it was running before you swapped harnesses?

is it a TD03U distributor? have you tried swapping the 2 white wires at the distributor? code 9 usually means that the camshaft timing is off, but it could be in the wiring or a bad cylinder sensor (rare for it to be bad) - blue/green wire from the harness to the blue/green on the cylinder sensor and blue/yellow from harness to blue/yellow on sensor - is the ground wire at the thermostat housing connected securely?

it is a td-o3 and the wires are wired that way. grounds are intact at the thermostat housing. will check the wire the white ones.
