won't work - to use the DOHC ZC transmission, you must use the ZC intermediate axle shaft and larger equal length Integra type axles - the unequal length D15B axles, where they go into the transmission, are smaller diameter than the ZC axles - you can't use the ZC intermediate shaft as the D15 doesn't have the threaded holes on the back of the block to bolt on the ZC intermediate shaft

are you sure it is a DOHC ZC transmission?

Or you can try to make a hybrid axle by using the inner cup of the intermediate shaft and the rest of the long axle...

There's a company that makes a kit(I forgot their name, but they build hydro conversions for cable cars too) to use a ZC intermediate shaft on non-threaded blocks(D16Y and D15 blocks); I actually have one but probably will not use it. LMK if you're interested.

i am having this same problem but in reverse...i have a dohc zc motor wit a d15b tranny and the holes in the tranny for the axle is bigger lik a b series, also when i had my zc tranny i had un equal length axles, and now wit the d15b tanny im trynna use the same ones and there too small. i bought new single axles and there the same as the "zc" axles i had in and they dont fit into the d15b tranny either

i was reading a thread u were commenting on back in 09 while i was reasearching about my problem and i was wondering if u could help me...i have a dohc zc motor wit a auto zc tranny, the zc tranny had unequal length axles in it, the tranny went and i got a d15b tranny and everything bolted up fine. as soon as i go to put the original axles in i had they were too small in diameter so i went and bought single axles and i have the same problem, the hole in the tranny where the boot and head goes in is bigger in diameter then the single axles. its lik i need b series axles in the d15b tranny??? at the end of the day my main question is what axles go into a auto jdm d15b tranny cus stock single axles dont work

That's how a lot of people make hybrid axles to adapt a certain transmission to different hubs. As long as the lengths are good, you can do it. Between axles of the same make/chassis, a lot of times the CV guts will fit into different axle cups.

D-series axle with the B-series CV joint on the inside.

What I did with mine intially was just swap over a D-series differential(40mm Si/EX), along with FD, and just ran stock D-series axles.
