I ran into problems with the zc tranny and was going to need new axles. So I just put the old tranny back on and used the reg. axles. My question is which is better, zc or si. A friend that had a zc in his crx said he used his stock tranny and axles because they were better. Just thought I would see what you guys thought.

Si final drive is better
Make a hybrid transmission.
If you just used the stock Si transmission, lyou'll be fine too. It's still a fine transmission for that engine. Ideally, you'd like to have the equal length axles of the ZC transmission, the ZC 1-5 gears, and the Si final drive. That setup gives you the best acceleration and almost no torque steer.

Might go with the hybrid...but I still need to get new axles. Dunno if anyone around here can do that anyway. We have like no one around here that can do a decent engine swap, like one place to dyno...it's actually pretty pathetic...trying to get me and my friends to start up a shop...
